Job Description:
A company is looking for a National Medicaid Medical Director -
Long Term Services & Supports (LTSS).
Key Responsibilities
Review medical authorizations to determine medical necessity for
services and supplies
Conduct computer-based reviews of clinical scenarios and
communicate decisions to internal associates
Engage in discussions with external physicians and providers to
gather clinical information and resolve conflicts
Required Qualifications
5+ years of clinical experience
Current License in Florida and ability to obtain licenses in other
LTSS Medicaid states
MD or DO degree
Board Certified in an approved ABMS Medical Specialty
Knowledge of the managed care industry, including Medicare or
Medicaid products
