ABOUT THE ROLEThe Product Safety and investigations engineer
role is critical in the Product Safety Team within Peloton's Safety
organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technical Product
Safety, this role will be critical to Peloton's post market
surveillance and investigations process. The right candidate for
this role will have demonstrated experience in successfully driving
hands-on product investigation and root cause activities, planning,
identifying gaps, proposing solutions,and executing improvements in
a positive and constructive manner. This role will require strong
engineering skills, organization skills, the ability to translate
business requirements into workflows, and a strategic bent for
helping set prioritization. This role is based out of Peloton
Linden, NJ facility with up to 50% domestic travel. YOUR DAILY
IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Lead and maintain Peloton Post Market surveillance process and
systems in collaboration with the Product Safety and
cross-functional teams
- Lead, conduct and participate in field inspection/investigation
of reports from the field.
- Coordinate and perform root cause analyses, investigation and
evaluation of field incident reports and returns with
cross-functional team
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team on testing,
mitigation validation planning as well as execution of validation
for product safety related topics, review/summarize test data and
next steps
- Participate in and drive Forced Failure Test planning and
execution YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an Engineering discipline
(Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in engineering/design/quality/safety &
regulatory roles.
- Experience in consumer goods/fitness equipment is a plus.
- Experience with Product tear-downs, failure investigation &
Root cause analyses
- Experience with Design & Quality tools such as DFMEA,
PFMEA
- Strong data analytics and technical documentation skills
- Strong communication and organization skills with the ability
to clearly and concisely provide updates to cross-functional
teams
- Able to prioritize and balance multiple projects/deliverables
while remaining focused on attention to detail
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, self-starter dynamic
environment while fostering collaboration.
