Senior Associate, Legal, Compliance and Government Affairs Communications
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Associate, Legal, Compliance and Government Affairs Communications, to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and advancing internal and external communications initiatives for the company's Office of the General Counsel, with a particular focus on supporting the Senior Vice President and General Counsel, the Chief Compliance Officer and the Head of the Office of Governmental Affairs.
Role Responsibilities


  • As a member of the Corporate Communications team, serve as a business partner to support both external and internal communications deliverables for the Legal, Compliance and Governmental Affairs functions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute on communications deliverables for the SVP and General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Head of the Office of Governmental Affairs.
  • Create and execute comprehensive communication plans that effectively convey legal, compliance, and governmental affairs initiatives to both external and internal stakeholders. Raise the overall profile of the Legal, Compliance and Governmental Affairs functions among various internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of crisis communication strategies and materials to address legal, compliance and/or regulatory issues, ensuring timely and transparent communication during critical situations and helping to mitigate reputational risks.
  • Assist in managing media inquiries and building relationships with journalists and influencers to amplify the company's government relations narratives as appropriate.
  • Serve as a point of contact for media inquiries related to litigation, ensuring timely and accurate communication that upholds the organization's reputation as required.
  • Design and manage campaigns to promote compliance awareness across the organization.
  • Produce high-quality written materials, including press releases, leadership messages, internal memos, statements, articles, and talking points tailored to employees, regulatory bodies, and the public.
  • Leverage feedback, best practices, and expertise to provide best-in-class communications support, including the testing, learning and onboarding of new GenAI capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate Communications, including Corporate Design, Editorial, Digital, Video/Meetings, and Employee Social Engagement.

    Required Qualifications

    • 7-10 years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 company and/or communications agency, handling both external and internal communications.
    • Expert and proactive client relationship manager, with experience providing advice and counsel to senior stakeholders.
    • Collaborative team player with executive presence and successful experience participating in high-profile cross-functional projects.
    • Understanding of public policy and regulatory environments.
    • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strategic thinker with excellent writing, listening, presentation and communications skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field.
    • Hybrid environment: Office Tuesday through Thursday, working from home Mondays and Fridays.

      Pay Transparency
      Salary Range: $95,000-$145,000
      Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
      Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
