Will be Responsible For:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial
reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end
closes.
- Review, interpret, and analyze financial and statistical data
for Management. Provide logical explanations for monthly,
quarterly, and annual variances in general ledger accounts and
statistics.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial
information.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure there is a
redundant process backup in place for every critical
operation.
- Collaborate with other leaders to contribute to client project
management functions (i.e. proposal development, relationship
management, engagement planning & project delivery).
- Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the
management and executive teams.
- Ensure that daily, monthly, and quarterly bank activities are
performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient
procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of
accuracy.
- Implement finance and accounting policies and procedures as
appropriate.
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine
transactions.
- Respond to inquiries regarding financial results, special
reporting requests and the like.
- Provide direction, training, guidance and oversight to
accounting team members. Review performance and provides coaching
and addresses employee issues and concerns.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
- 5+ years of experience working as a Controller or similar level
with at least 3 years of supervisory experiencePreferred/Desired
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP).
- CPA preferred
- Effective leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of
individuals.
- Ability to deal effectively with interpersonal
relationships.
- High degree of professionalism including the ability to
maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Highly organized and capable of performing multi-tasking in a
fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency and the capability of performing at an
intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office
Suite of products with an emphasis in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
skills, or similar software applications.
- Experience recording and reconciling intercompany
transactions.
- Experience working on complex accounting transactions.
- Extensive experience using various financial systems. Working
knowledge of SAP is highly preferred.
- Proactive, intellectually curious and driven professional who

Location:IselinFor NYC and California, the expected salary range
for this position is between120000and200000The range for the
position in other geographies may vary based on market
differences.The actual compensation will be determined based on
experience and other factors permitted by law.
