As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers, from sharing knowledge about our high-quality meats to ensuring smooth retail operations.Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, assisting with product selection, and answering questions about our meat offerings and sourcing practices.
• Process transactions using the point-of-sale system, handle cash and card payments, and manage customer orders.
• Stay informed about our product range, including meats, specialty items, and local farm partnerships, to educate and upsell to customers.
• Assist in stock replenishment, ensure products are properly displayed and labeled, and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, workstations, and displays in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the butchery team to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Take special orders, coordinate pickup or delivery schedules, and ensure accuracy of order fulfillment.Qualifications
• Prior experience in retail or customer service, preferably in a food-related environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of or interest in butchery, local farms, and sustainable meat practices is a plus.
• Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling.
