Career Opportunities with Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service (inc)A great place to work.Department: Cornerstone Community Center Program - Seth Low NYCHA - 60200Position: Group Leader Cornerstone - Seth LowReports to: Cornerstone Program Director and Assistant DirectorSalary Range: $35,000-$35,000Hours/Schedule: FT 35 hours per week - School year 2-10 pm; Summer 3-11 pm;All services and activities are In-Person and based at Site Location;Must have the ability to work on weekends.Brooklyn Community Services is one of Brooklyn's first and largest non-sectarian social services agencies, serving more than 20,000 individuals annually.Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with Site Director and Assistant Director to provide activities for children, youth, adults, and seniors.
• Supervise and manage a classroom with the assistance of an activity specialist.
• Ensure compliance with all DOH, DYCD, DOE, and BCS health and safety protocols.
• Develop school learning curriculum and activities for children ages K-5.
• Coordinate planning and preparation of daily activities and materials with the activity specialist.
• Supervise groups of children during activities, snack time, recreation, and field trips.
• Take daily attendance and enter it into the DYCD database.
• Plan community events for children, parents, and the community.
• Oversee authorized parental/guardian drop-off and pick-up of children, following all health and safety protocols.
• Outreach to parents and the community to promote programs and events.
• Attend and comply with training requirements, including health and safety protocols.
• Other responsibilities as needed and requested by the site director.Qualifications Required:
• High School Diploma required; some college education preferred.
• Background in sports, music, drama, dance, photography, crafts, sewing, or the arts is a plus.
