Job Description:
A company is looking for a Software Engineer for Weather Systems
(remote).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Unified Forecast System (UFS) weather model and associated
applications through code management
Engage with the UFS community to enhance national forecast
skills
Develop and manage advanced scripts for system testing and
integration
Required Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of UFS weather model and components
Experience optimizing and benchmarking Fortran source code
HPC experience in both on-premise and cloud computing
technologies
Experience using programming languages such as Fortran and
Python
8 years of relevant experience with a BS degree in Meteorology,
Computer Science, or an IT-related field preferred
