The Tissue Bank Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily
operations of the tissue bank, ensuring compliance with all
regulatory requirements and internal policies while providing
leadership to the team. This role involves implementing and
maintaining quality assurance programs, supervising staff, and
collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and
maintain high standards of tissue banking practices. The Tissue
Bank Manager will also act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and
senior management to ensure alignment with organizational
goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementing and ensuring adherence to Movora policies and
procedures, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local
laws, industry standards, and company SOPs.
- Maintaining and updating the organizational chart to delineate
functional relationships within the tissue bank.
- Ensuring the tissue bank has adequate staffing levels and
providing oversight on hiring, training, and development of
staff.
- Directing and supervising supervisory personnel, maintaining
clear documentation of staff roles and responsibilities.
- Developing, reviewing, and approving employee training programs
to ensure operational competence and regulatory compliance.
- Attending AATB meetings, workshops, or participating in AATB
committee work at least once every three years, ensuring continuing
education is documented.
- Overseeing the implementation and evaluation of donor
suitability assessment criteria, technical policies, and procedures
in compliance with AATB standards.
- Acting as a liaison to review and approve donor acceptability
in accordance with established criteria and standards.
- Establishing and maintaining a Quality Assurance (QA) program
to ensure compliance with Movora SOPs, federal, state, and local
regulations, and industry standards.
- Conducting internal reviews and audits annually through
independent personnel to maintain regulatory and operational
compliance.
- Approving exceptional releases of tissue and ensuring technical
aspects are managed appropriately, consulting with the Medical
Director as needed for donor suitability concerns.
- Overseeing the approval of tissues designated for research
purposes, ensuring compliance with technical and procedural
requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D,
logistics, and quality assurance to enhance operational
efficiencies.
- Providing regular updates and reports on operations, quality
metrics, and compliance status to senior management.Supervisory
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide guidance to the Tissue Production
Supervisor and associated personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide developmental
feedback for team members.
- Ensure adherence to established safety protocols and standard
operating procedures (SOPs).The above cited duties and

true understanding of how and what they are used for.
- Systems & Software: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
software applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and
PowerPoint.
- Tissue Bank applications and equipment: Proficient in related
equipment and tissue bank programs to effectively manage
product.Requirements: Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Biology,
Veterinary Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in tissue banking
or related field, with prior supervisor experience required.
- Affiliations: Member of the Tissue Banking Society highly
preferred.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of tissue recovery and
banking processes, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory
requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using laboratory equipment,
managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated supervisory skills,
including training, team-building, and performance management.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to
detail in handling biological materials and maintaining
records.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills for effective team coordination and regulatory
reporting.Working Conditions:
- This position requires working in laboratory environments with
exposure to biological materials.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or collaboration
