Job DescriptionTitle: Facilities ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptReports To: Operations ManagerSecondary To: Director of Operations Summary:The Facilities Manager maintains and oversees a company's grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates within company budgets.Essential Duties:Plan and coordinates all installations and refurbishments.Maintains and updates the preventative maintenance programManaging all vendor contracts.Ensuring efficiency of all building systems.Maintains adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.Coordinates site safety programs.Maintaining a safe work environment for all employeesEnsuring all processes and compliance programs are metManaging facilities planning and space allocationPreparing cost estimates for moves and equipmentCoordinating with department heads and building contractorsManaging maintenance of groundsEnsuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulationsNegotiating bids and contracts for third party workersCoordinating building security and maintenance servicesManaging and supervising all sanitation/facilities personnelOverseeing all building functions.Determine work procedures, preparing employee work schedules and expediting workflow.Ensure that all employees are in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company related policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must possess strong interpersonal skillsMust be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, and vendors.Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.
