Responsibilities

Position Summary: Provide Engineering support and project management skills toward the design, development, installation, startup, validation, and maintenance of products, processes, and equipment. Provide technical expertise within a specialty field(s).

• Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Medical Device Industry
  • Standards ISO:11607, UDI, EU-MDR, ISTA, ASTM 4169, Track and Trace
  • Equipment: HFFS, Rotary Tray Sealers, Impulse Sealer, Thermoforming, Band Sealers, Conveyors, Case Sealers, Burst Tester, Peel Testers, HD Printer and Labeling.
  • Regulatory Bodies: FDA and TUV
  • Materials: Tyvek, Medical Grade Paper, Films, Pouches, Medical trays, HIPS, Corrugated, Folding Carton, Labels and Inks.
  • Root Cause Analysis experience.
  • Computerized Systems:
  • Cape Pack or Tops
  • Minitab, Statgraphics
  • MS Project
  • Packaging Engineering degree preferred.
  • Desired Qualifications
    • IoPP Certified
    • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified Responsibilities: Essential Duties
      • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair or improve products, components or assemblies.
      • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
      • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
      • Designs and drafts blueprints with designer, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
      • Must be SME in field at higher levels of job.
      • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time. Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
        • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
        • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training , assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Referring only complex problems and issues
        • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
        • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.           Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc Required:
          • Bachelor's degree (B.S. Engineering) from four-year college or university and 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of 10 years of education and experience.
          • Domestic travel with the remote possibility of International travel.Desired:
