seeking a Senior Electrical Designer role in our ScopeThe Senior
Electrical Designer 2 will lead projects as a project manager or
lead designer for the delivery of large and highly complex projects
with minimal support required from senior staff. They will work
closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project
direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients to ensure
positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include project
management, engineering analysis, design, and implementation
oversight of electrical systems in buildings. Additional
responsibilities will include working within the project's monetary
budget, leading training and mentoring efforts, and collaborating
with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client
expectations.Principal Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and
complexity; Serve as the point of contact for teams and
clients
- Collaborate with business development staff, Project
Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during
the initial stages of project opportunities
- Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design
scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well
as with contract reviews
- Create project schedules including targets for milestones and
deadlines
- Create monthly billings and submit financial information to
Accounting in a timely manner; Update billing projections and
estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly
- Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG
standards and code requirements. Ensure design milestone
deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control
processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs
in a timely manner
- Collaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of
projects during all phases of design and construction. Schedule and
lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation
- Participate in project interviews and project
presentations
- Respond to and resolve client/construction concerns. Manage
change orders and obtain appropriate approvals
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff
- Build, maintain, and develop client relationshipsRequired
Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career
path * Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES)
Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link,
TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
- Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and
software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam
Revu
- Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of
expertise
- Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
- Strong training and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to
clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to
individuals or groups
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to
Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight
staysEducation and Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or
equivalent required
- 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the
building design consulting industry
- This position is not eligible for sponsorshipOR
- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information
Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
- 14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the
building design consulting or construction industry

- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and
lift objects up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl,
reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
- Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and
loud noisesSalary Range $106,000 - $156,165. Minimums and maximums
may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several
factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of
the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock
