Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst (STA) as part of its US Tax Center (US CTC). This position is within the State and Local Tax (SALT) Planning group. The candidate's work location will be in New Brunswick, NJ and the position will incorporate the J&J Flex Hybrid Work Model (3 days on site, 2 days remote) and may require up to 10% domestic travel.\r\r\rAt Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. At Johnson & Johnson, we all belong.\r\rThe Senior Tax Analyst role is focused on state income tax planning and policy and works closely with internal and external business partners to ensure effective state planning and policy outcomes are achieved.\r\r\rKey Responsibilities:

• Supporting J&J's state tax policy work and being a key business partner with the State Government Affairs ("SGA") Team through providing guidance and key points for SGA's interactions with external parties.
• Being a valued partner to governments and advocating for tax legislation that provides clarity and encourages innovation and growth.
• Supporting state planning initiatives including:
• Advising on various acquisitions, divestitures, and confidential planning initiatives
• Advising on state tax impacts to J&J tax planning teams for changes in supply chains & distribution models.
• Assisting J&J business partners in evaluating new business locations, which includes evaluating and actively participating in any economic incentive applications while abiding by the J&J WWP
• Understanding, quantifying, and communicating the state tax implications of proposed business and/or tax law changes.
• Understanding business models and nexus footprint of assigned sector or businesses.
• Strong business partnering with various Sector leaders.
• Frequently reviewing legislative law changes.
• Driving efficiencies through standardization & use of technology to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
• Assisting with ad-hoc requests, including planning models and analysis.
• Collaborating with the tax compliance group to ensure audit outcomes and planning strategies are implemented into current tax filings and are supportable on future audits.
• Collaborating with the SALT audit team in responding to information requests for multiple state income & franchise tax audits for both separate and unitary states.\r\r
