Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor or a Lead Operator ready to advance into a supervisory role in our paper manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in paper production who are eager to take on leadership responsibilities. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee and support paper production crews in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for meeting safety, quality, and production goals while fostering a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and serve as a positive role model. Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are followed.

- Production Management: Supervise hourly production crews and manage daily operations to meet production targets. Oversee start-up, operation, and shutdown processes, ensuring optimal equipment performance and high product quality.

- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and enhance manufacturing processes. Work with maintenance teams to address operational issues and improve equipment functionality.

- Quality Control: Monitor production to ensure product quality meets standards. Address deviations from quality expectations and implement corrective measures as needed.

- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the production team, setting clear expectations and offering ongoing training and development. Foster a positive work environment that values teamwork and diversity.

- Communication: Communicate critical and routine information to the next shift and management. Maintain detailed records of production activities and any issues encountered.

- Housekeeping: Ensure cleanliness and organization in all areas of the mill to maintain a professional and safe working environment.

Schedule:

- This is a rotating shift position in a facility operating 24/5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is required to ensure smooth transitions and meet production demands.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a paper mill or paper manufacturing environment is required.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Technical knowledge of production processes and equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
