Job Description:

The Northern Berks Regional Police Department will be accepting employment applications for the position of Police Officer. Applications WILL NOT BE MAILED TO APPLICANTS. Starting salary of a probationary officer is $77,096.98/year.

Interested applicants must be Act 120 Certified by their date of hire and be 21 years of age. All applicants must be a US Citizen, possess a valid PA driver's license, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Previous Police experience will be given consideration.

Any appointment to the position of Police Officer shall be contingent upon the candidate successfully completing a psychological examination, a medical examination including a drug/alcohol screen, and a thorough background investigation.

Anyone seeking veteran's preference must submit a copy of their form DD-214.
