with this commitment, the Learning Specialist III plays a key role
within our organization.
Please be aware that we are looking to fill a single position, and
the selected candidate can be based in any of our regional
offices.
The Learning Specialist III is responsible for creating, cascading,
and continuously improving the content of the functional training
needs for associates and management within Stop & Shop. This
position requires strong written and verbal communication skills,
including the ability to build and influence trusted
cross-functional collaboration with subject matter experts, content
owners, and leaders in Stores, Distribution, Corporate Support.
By ensuring engaging and high-quality training, the Learning
Specialist III helps us maintain our commitment to developing
others and delivering operational excellence and customer
satisfaction.
What we ask of you:
--- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work with SMEs
and internal stakeholders to create or update functional training
content to reflect current operating standards, practices, or
initiatives. Gain alignment on approach and materials. Resolve any
differences in perspective as needed.
--- Create and Update Training Content: Create and update
functional training content to reinforce and prioritize the
importance of driving sales and customer service. Organize and
synthesize information from various sources. Establish and maintain
a process to update content in cadence with operational changes.
Collaborate closely with instructional design peer(s) and vendor(s)
to create learning objectives, outcomes, and materials. Ensure
content accuracy. Provide feedback and insights from the learner's
perspective.
--- Map and Validate Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors: Identify the
required knowledge, skills, and behaviors for key store roles.
Validate these with functional stakeholders from across the
organization. Influence the prioritization, simplification, and
organization of training content by role in each functional
area.
--- Communication and Implementation: Develop and cascade
communication and implementation plan in partnership with business
leaders, informing associates and managers of training content
revisions or additions.
--- Train-the-Trainer Coordination and Delivery: Develop and
execute the train-the-trainer plan. Deliver train-the-trainer
sessions effectively and provide constructive feedback to improve
training delivery.
What you bring to the table:
--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a
related field
--- Exceptional written communication skills, with a strong focus
on sequencing information, conciseness, clarity, grammar, and
punctuation.
--- Highly proactive and responsive in addressing need of projects.
Able to work with urgency and ensure thorough follow-through.
--- Proven and consistent ability to manage multiple projects and
stakeholders effectively and independently, prioritizing tasks to
meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
--- Strong time and project management skills, with a drive for
high quality and results.
--- Elevated level of professional presence demonstrated through
deep and active listening, curiosity, and relationship-building
skills. Capable of navigating a complex organization and
collaborating effectively with peers, business leaders, subject
matter experts, and HR team members.
--- Ability to convey and influence balanced recommendations to
various levels of the organization effectively, along with an
openness to be influenced by new and differing perspectives;
ability to resolve differences of perspectives and influence others
to gain agreement on solutions that balance the needs of the
learner and the business.
--- Skilled in training others to understand necessary job
knowledge, skills, and behaviors. Comfortable speaking in both
individual and group settings, with the ability to clearly explain
content, check for understanding, and engage participants in an
interactive manner.
--- Actively seeks opportunities to enhance best practices and
drive continuous improvement.
--- Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50%)

The starting salary for this position is $104,400 and will be
commensurate with background, experience as well as internal
equity.
