Meltwater is seeking an associate corporate counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and has a strong foundation in contractual negotiations and privacy law with the ability to manage legal issues in rapidly evolving areas, such as AI. You will bring exceptional communication skills, a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to thrive in collaborative environments across teams and regions.
What You'll Do:

• 
  Serve as a key point of contact for sales stakeholders with respect to product related legal issues to ensure seamless deal support.
• 
  Collaborate with product teams to understand the technical details of Meltwater's offerings.
• 
  Negotiate product related contractual terms in key customer contracts, including terms related to AI, IP rights and privacy.
• 
  Support the product teams in contractual negotiations with vendors and service providers.
  What You'll Bring:
  • 
    A Juris Doctor Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited law school.
  • 
    Active license to practice law
  • 
    3-5 years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house (preferably technology, media, SaaS or cloud experience).
  • 
    Excellent negotiation, legal drafting, and communication skills.
  • 
    Ability to work effectively and support the product and sales teams, exercising sound judgement that incorporates strong legal analysis, a pragmatic approach, and consideration of business goals, risk tolerance, and stakeholder priorities.
  • 
    Ability to balance a high volume of legal matters in a timely and effective manner.
  • 
    Knowledge and understanding of doing business globally, including working across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries.
  • 
    Strong EQ and interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work and communicate cross-functionally.
  • 
    A team player who values client/customer service and professionalism.
  • 
    Fluency in both written and verbal business English: ability to dive into conversations and engage across borders!
  • 
    Willingness to embrace the best of both worlds with our hybrid work schedule. This role requires you to be in the office 2 days a week.
  • 
    The ability to legally work in the United States is required for this position.

      Base Salary of $108,000 - $127,000 USD per year + 10% annual bonus
    • 
      Total compensation range for this position: $108,000 - $139,700 USD per year.
