talent, motivation, and vision as a Principal Software Engineer to
join our Long Island team.We are actively seeking experienced
Software Engineers with a minimum of 4 years of experience and a
range of skills to develop high-quality, real-time embedded
software for fielded electronics platforms. BAE Systems in
Greenlawn, NY has recently been awarded new programs and is
currently undergoing an exciting period of growth.When you become a

collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Test Engineers to impact all

in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work
onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be
performed more than 50% on site. This means work will be conducted
on location at a BAE Systems facility > 50% of the time.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret
clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
or other scientific degree with strong software content.
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement software solutions to
meet project requirements, including coding, testing, debugging,
and documentation.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, design
patterns, and best practices, with the ability to design and
develop scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, from
requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing,
deployment, and maintenance.
- Comfortable supporting and maintaining existing software,
troubleshoot technical issues, and implement bug fixes and
enhancements as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working,
maintainable software.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills as needed.Preferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in embedded software development.
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Jira, BitBucket,
debuggers, etc
- Experience with DO-178 or other defined software process
- Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps

$103752 - $176378Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
