success.Background:Value streams refer to the set of actions that a
customer or agent goes through when they interact with New York
Life. This includes everything from meeting with an agent to
develop a plan to meet their goals, to learning about our products,
to making a purchase, and then receiving excellent service that
encourages a long-term relationship. Employees are organized into
value streams, allowing everyone to work towards the same business
outcomes and following the same roadmap to achieve those goals.Each
value stream is responsible for creating new growth opportunities
and ensuring that our operations are efficient and effective in
supporting that part of the customer journey. The foundation of
each value stream is a strong partnership between technology and
the business, supported by our corporate functions, where all
parties are accountable for achieving the desired business
outcomes.The Client Prospecting value stream is responsible for
driving business growth and agent productivity by evolving NYL's
brand; defining priority client segmentations; generating corporate
leads and opportunities; creating new growth opportunities; and
enabling agents and recruiters to use marketing and increase
personal brand. The total annual technology spend is $50m. Key
technology and capabilities include Adobe, Hearsay Social, and
Broadridge.Role Overview:The VP Marketing / Client Prospecting
Value Stream Technology Lead is responsible for developing and
executing the value stream's technology strategy and leading its
technology team in delivering high-quality solutions that enable
the value stream's business outcomes. This role sits within an
individual value stream and will work closely with the Value Stream
Owner and Value Stream COO to ensure that technology delivery is
effective and aligns with business strategy. The role will be
responsible for managing the value stream's application portfolio
and other key aspects of the technology strategy, including
implementing new technologies and delivery approaches (such as
scaled agile), and reducing technology debt.While not directly
responsible for needs such as infrastructure, network, and cyber
security, the Value Stream Technology Lead will coordinate with the
enterprise-level technology team to support their value stream in
these areas. The Value Stream Technology Leads will also
collaborate with peers in the same role across other value streams
and with the Foundational Business CIOs to ensure consistency in
technology practices across the organization. To be successful in
this role, the Technology Lead must have a strong understanding of
agile development methodologies, excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as
part of a team.Key Relationships:

- Matrix reporting to Value Stream OwnerWhat You'll Do:
- Develop and execute a value stream technology strategy that
supports the value stream's business goals and objectives.
- Lead the optimization of the Adobe suite of products, including
Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target, and Adobe
Analytics.
- Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to ensure the effective
integration of marketing technologies with existing systems and
processes.
- Oversee the development and management of the marketing
technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and
objectives.
- Collaborate with Foundational Business CIO and peer Value
Stream Technology Leads to align value stream technology strategy
to the enterprise and Foundational Business technology
strategies.
- Manage technology-enabled business transformation, change
initiatives, and end-to-end technology delivery for a single value
stream.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to identify opportunities
for technology innovation and improvement.
- Own and manage IT budget, policies and procedures, and IT
systems and operations for value stream.
- Directly oversee the value stream application portfolio and
other key aspects of the technology strategy.
- Act as the single point of accountability for development,
quality assurance, application maintenance support and digital,
driving key value stream priorities.
- Act as the coordinator back into technology for services such
as network, infrastructure, cyber security, etc.
- Foster innovation, leveraging agile tools and delivery and
utilizing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles.
- Lead modernization and digital transformation roadmap and
initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for the value
stream.
- Lead technology-related initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate across value streams and with the Foundational
Business CIOs to ensure consistency in technology standards and
identify opportunity areas.
- Provide guidance and support to teams within the value stream
to ensure that they have the necessary technology resources and
tools.
- Monitor and report on technology-related metrics, such as
system uptime, user satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.What
You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT required; Master's/MBA
or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a relevant leadership role with
direct responsibility for technology and large-scale
transformations.
- Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services
preferred.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize formal agile methodologies,
disciplines, practices, and techniques for the delivery of new and
enhanced applications.
- Proven thought leader and change agent.
- Extensive experience with Agile delivery.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual problem-solving
skills.
- Charismatic communicator and presenter.
- Reliable leader with strong values.
- Intrinsic performance orientation and a passion for people
development.
- Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional

- 10+ years of experience in marketing technology, with a focus
on the Adobe suite of products.
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing Adobe
Experience Manager, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target, and Adobe
Analytics.
- Experience with other marketing technologies, such as CRM
systems, marketing automation platforms, and data management
platforms.Pay TransparencySalary Range:
225,000-270,000Discretionary bonus eligible: YesActual base salary
will be determined based on several factors but not limited to
individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary
bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible
