Job Description:
Upward Health is seeking a Cloud Engineer with expertise in
Azure Engineering, particularly skilled in building and maintaining
Data Factory Pipelines, Logic Apps, and other Extract, Transform,
Load (ETL) processes. This role involves working closely with other
Technology Teams to design, implement, and optimize the flow of
data across Upward Health systems. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in Azure cloud services, strength with SQL,
experience with Python, and a deep understanding of ETL
processes.Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory Pipelines and
Logic Apps to automate data movement and transformation
processes.
- Implement ETL processes to extract data from various sources,
transform it according to business requirements, and load it into
destination systems.
- Design and Deployment of Virtual Machines, Network Firewalls,
and other traditional Microsoft resources.
- Optimization and Maintenance:
- Monitor and optimize data pathways to ensure high performance,
reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and
processing.
- Implement best practices for cloud architecture and data
engineering.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the IT Operations team to understand data
requirements and provide solutions that align with business
goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data
integrity and availability, providing advisory and troubleshooting
expertise when needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on Azure
services and ETL processes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of the complete
Upward Health cloud environment.
- Generate reports and insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services, with particular
emphasis on Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing ETL
processes.
- Excellent SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience with Python, Java, C#, or other programming
languages.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
- Knowledge of other Azure services such as Azure Storage, Azure
Function Apps, Virtual Hardware, and resource management is a
plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot
complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while
managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality
work.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated success in a similar role with a focus on Azure
cloud engineering and ETL processes.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or technology-driven
