Job Description:
We're excited to be looking for a Public Relations Manager to
join our team. Reporting into our Senior Manager of Public
Relations and Affiliate Marketing, you will drive the PR function
of Brooklinen in securing press coverage that drives revenue and
positive brand sentiment.This role is perfect for you if you are a

in Brooklyn, NY, and we have a 2 days in/3 days remote
schedule.What you'll do
- Drive PR/media strategy, planning quarterly activations to
secure revenue-driving stories, brand-building coverage, and
relevant business press
- Manage and work with PR Associate to develop quarterly pitch
strategies targeting "Best Of" stories, trend stories, leadership
interviews, and new launch coverage
- Support product collaborations and brand partnerships by
staffing calls, planning events/launch mailers/overall press
strategy, and managing logistics
- Plan and execute events and mailers for key initiatives and new
launches, overseeing all aspects from vendor coordination to budget
management
- Collaborate with the Affiliate Team to analyze how PR
placements contribute to revenue and align with company goals
- Write compelling pitches and maintain up-to-date media lists,
including national, regional, print, broadcast, and digital
outlets
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts to
secure proactive and reactive coverage
- Meet with media monthly (e.g., dinners, coffees) to strengthen
relationships and foster positive brand sentiment
- Partner with the Senior Manager to prepare and staff leadership
interviews, offering constructive feedback where needed
- Effectively manage PR Associate to help them meet goals,
understand how their work ladders up to the greater needs of the
business, and grow at Brooklinen
- Manage PR budget, track invoices, and ensure financial
efficiencyWe're looking for someone who brings
- 4+ years of experience in consumer PR, either at a PR agency or
in-house brand
- Proven track record of securing top-tier press coverage
- Established relationships with a network of editors
- Experience in event planning, mailers, and similar PR
initiatives
- Experience managing and/or tracking budgets, invoices, etc
- Ability to drive PR strategy and align it with broader business
goals
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in PR, marketing, journalism, communications,
or a related field is a plus!
- Knowledge of how PR integrates with affiliate and other
marketing functions is a plus!
- DTC and retail experience is a plus!At Brooklinen, we're
