Salary: $35 - 45 per hour + MedicalReference: 176323-JCAscendo Resources is actively seeking a Staff Accountant for an immediate, full-time, hybrid role!Our client, an international Media company is located in NYC, NY 10036The Staff Accountant must have strong general ledger accounting and SAP experience. The staff accountant will be responsible for posting journal entries, entering accruals, reconciling accounts, and executing month-end close. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, work independently, and have solid understanding of US GAAP.Job Title: Staff AccountantPay rate: $35/hr - $45/hrSchedule: Hybrid, Mon-Fri 9 AM - 5 pm (3 days onsite)Location: Manhattan, NYResponsibilities:Post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.Assist in month-end reporting processes, including preparing financial statements and reports.Conduct reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Perform light analysis of financial data to identify trends and anomalies.Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, we welcome and celebrate diversity.
