Job Summary
Responsible for handling large scale and high-profile projects from
design through implementation to achieve desired business outcomes.
This includes work product which is presented to senior leadership
and external stakeholders. Ownership of certain PSEGLI Human
Resources department-wide functions including: 1) Team meetings
(scheduling content and executing), 2) Oversight for
internal/external stakeholder audits including tracking
deliverables and implementation plans, 3)Tracking and reporting of
PSEGLI HR metrics and key performance indicators, 4) Responses to
internal/external stakeholder information requests. Expected to
proactively evaluate current state processes and identify and
implement efficiencies and continuous improvements. Also expected
to ensure operational excellence in the day-to --day needs and
operations of the PSEGLI HR Department. Must complete all of the
foregoing objectives within designated timeframes and budgets.
While there is not presently any direct report, the position is
expected to be a leader within the department to oversee project
teams and cross-functional efforts. The position also serves as a
counselor and must maintain the trust, confidence, and respect of
the entire organization.
Job Responsibilities
Directly handles large scale and high-profile projects from design
through implementation to achieve the desired business outcome.
Ownership of several senior leadership and external stakeholder
presentations that include developing the substantive strategy and
presentation, story boarding, and coordinating with team members
and other stakeholders. Responsible for managing highly sensitive
information.
Optimize and enhance the use of technology and available platforms,
including harmonization of internal business process management,
data and resources.
Partner with Finance to monitor PSEGLI HR budget, and address
various financial issues. Oversee the timely payment of vendors and
manage the accruals for the department.
Manages certain PSEGLI HR departmental people processes,
communications, memberships, all-hands meetings, department
surveys, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensures operational
excellence in the day-to-day needs and operations of the
Department. Leverages six sigma and other project methodologies to
proactively evaluate current state processes and identifies and
implements efficiencies and improvements through automation or
redesigned processes. Provide project management support
implementing those improvements.
Ownership of certain PSEGLI HR department-wide functions including:
1) PSEGLI team meetings (scheduling content and executing), 2)
Oversight for internal/external stakeholder audits including
tracking deliverables and developing and implementing remedial
actions, 3)Tracking and reporting of PSEGLI HR metrics and key
performance indicators, 4) Response to internal/external
stakeholder information requests.
Represents HR on cross-departmental teams designed to meet business
objectives.
Performs other tasks for HR as necessary to improve operations and
efficiency.
Job Specific Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant experience managing
business operations type functions including human resources. In
lieu of degree, a minimum of 8 years relevant experiencemanaging
business operations type functions including human resources.
Demonstrated knowledge of excel and PowerPoint presentation
skills.
Experience working in an HRorganization; demonstrated ability to
create strategies to achieve desired business outcomes with
supporting documentation;
Project management skills; demonstrated ability to own and
implement large-scale projects;
Demonstrated experience managing operational functions and
identifying and implementing process improvements;
Demonstrated systems/technical expertise; strong interpersonal
skills; strong oral and written communication skills;
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP, SuccessFactors, and
Business Objectives; expert PowerPoint presentation skills; ability
to prioritize work, multi-task, and handle competing
priorities.
Desired:
Experience working in the HR Department of a Fortune 500 Company,
prior experience directly managing a department-wide operations
function, six sigma certified
Demonstrated ability with budgeting and related reporting
